Commitment: It takes six weeksMaintaining the life of a fitness enthusiast is not for everyone. It is kind of a cult in some ways because of the attention to so many details that must be followed to be successful. It really does take a certain type of person to pull it off. I think the reason why so many people don't qualify for this lifestyle is mainly because they don't believe the results will come. They don't want to work hard for nothing. Either this or they don't care enough to gain the results to actually put in the effort. Or in short, they are just too lazy. In short, it is the same reason why many people don't succeed in life. Let's face it, some people are just too lazy, or they are "above" it. Some people think it is a waste of time and effort and that working out is all about vanity. In general, to change any habit, it takes about six weeks. This should in mind if you are a beginning exerciser. In this way you can properly make changes to your nutritional and workout habits. If you are a more advanced exerciser, you need to ask yourself where can you most improve, and what habits would guide you to making the most progress. For some, it may be six weeks of increased protein intake or six weeks of following a more intense workout program. Remember, for many people, this will take a personal trainer or a friend to keep them accountable. Very few people have the go it alone motivation inside of them to do it by themselves. It's hard to go it alone in this quest to go six weeks without some help. This would be a great time to hire a personal trainer to ensure effectiveness and to ensure that you are on the right track with your training.
