Learn the Secret to This Program
Strength Training: It's called Intensity!!Have you ever heard the phrase "work hard, play hard"? I love this phrase because it's how I prefer my clients to work out. It makes me sick when I walk into a gym and to see so many people only giving their workouts 70%. When people see me working out at 100% it is like a foreign idea to them. In fact, people look at me like I'm a crazy zombie when I work out so hard. Honestly, I give 100% every time I workout and this is a foreign concept to most people. And guess what, I have the results too. I don't want to pretend that the gym revolves around me, but I can see a notable difference in the way that people work out when I enter the gym. When I walk in, people are going slow and they are usually just socializing and giving their workout a halfhearted effort. It pisses me off; Please people, if you want to socialize, go to a bar or a club to do this. If it were up to me, I wouldn't allow any of this stuff in a gym because it is distracting to me when I am trying to get a good honest workout in. However, when I get into my workouts, I can see other people putting in a notably bigger effort in their workout. I wonder why so many people need to see someone else put in some intensity before they do. It's like they don't want to look stupid in their efforts in the gym. Frankly, I don't care if I look like a total idiot when I work out. I don't care if my face is beat red, if the veins are popping out of my forehead, if I'm sweating like a pig, and if I'm making weird noises in an effort to push back the pain. I'm not there to model with the weights or to pose for the chicks (ok, most the time). I'm there to get a great workout. Gains do not come by maintaining the same intensity week in and week out. Instead, they come week in and week out by little gains that come through pain, sweat, and tears. It's like life or achieving anything significant in life. It doesn't come easy, it takes time, it's a journey. Over time, your efforts will add up and you will begin to see the results you are really looking for. It's called compounding progress. You use it in learning, building trust, completing a goal and getting stronger. This is the only way. I've written some other articles to help you with your workout results.
